Just a short post today to complain about my lack of direction concerning my hair. I still absolutely love my bob, although it's not so practical to get perfect on a day-to-day basis - far too much faffing. So I guess the easiest way to make a change is to alter the shade of my mane.
Over the years my hair has been an array of colours and lengths. Not all of which have been great choices, may I add. But in the last two years I have stuck to the same shade of dark chocolate brown. The colour definitely suits me, don't get me wrong I like it a lot. However, it now feels rather routine, and who likes routine? I desperately want a change, I'm thinking a much lighter caramel shade. I'm not sure how well it'll turn out and as I refuse to attempt the procedure myself (far too risky for my accident prone nature), leaving it to the professionals is going to turn out rather pricey. But I'm willing to treat myself seeing as it's been a long long time since I've seen my naturally rather mousy roots.
So I've lost a few hours of my day searching through pinterest for hair-spiration regarding my desired transformation. Here's the best of what I could find:
Now I'm fully aware that I'm not going to look like any of these beauties if I were to go for this colour, but I can dream right? I love how glossy these caramel tones make the hair look, a little less harsh than a full on blonde shade which would certainly fry my hair to a frizzy crisp. It seems to suit most skin tones too, without causing a washed out look - which is something else I would dread with going blonde.
Thought I'd chuck in a cheeky pic of Frankie Sandford too, because I absolutely love her ever-changing pixie crop. Unfortunately, I found out the hard way that this look does not work on me. I'm still growing out the a-symmetrical lengths.
I'd love to know your experiences regarding drastic colour changes, any tips or advice would be much appreciated!
